Our Curriculum and Planning

At Fairfield Infant and Nursery School we are committed to offering an exciting and integrated curriculum which provides the children with a broad and balanced education and supports them to achieve their full potential.

We teach our children the fundamental values of democracy, mutual tolerance and respect for people of all cultures, faiths and lifestyles and we expect high standards of behaviour.

Planning is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage/National Curriculum suing topic based approach, which makes learning relevant and stimulating for the children.

We value enrichment activities such as educational trips, visitors, library resources, forest schools, role play and drama to broaden our children's experiences and bring learning to life!

We aim to keep parents informed and involved in their child’s learning through making long term planning available on the website, half termly class newsletters, weekly learning objectives on the classroom notice boards and the website class pages are regularly updated with photos of children’s learning.
