Staffing Update

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope this message finds you well. The children have settled back calmly into the new term and our new starters in Reception have been fantastic!

I just wanted to keep you updated regarding some upcoming staffing changes.

Firstly, I am very sad to inform you (but happy for her!) that Mrs Waring is retiring after 32 years of dedicated service to our FINS family. She will be finishing at the end of this half-term in October. I cannot tell you how much she will be missed by our whole school community, but we wish her every happiness and relaxation in her retirement, and I know she is looking forward to spending more time with her friends and family.

As you already know, Mrs Vannessa Langley, who is currently teaching in Nursery, is going on maternity leave from Friday 11th October and Miss Holmes (currently in Foxes) will be taking over in Nursery. We send best wishes to Mrs Langley and her family. Mrs Hawkes who also works in Foxes will be teaching full time in there.

I also have the pleasure of informing you that Miss Harriet Graham in Badgers is expecting a baby in February next year. She will be taking maternity leave closer to the time and we are currently recruiting for a teacher to work in Badgers. I will update you as soon as I have more information.

Finally, I am sad to let you know that Mrs Claire Raja, our pastoral lead teaching assistant, is leaving us to take up a new position with Derbyshire County Council and she will be finishing on Friday 4th October. Although we are sad to see her move on, we wish her every success in her new role.

As usual, we will make these changes as smooth as we possibly can for the children, and I will keep you updated when I have more information.

Warm Regards

Mrs Jenny Allin

Headteacher.
