Parent update

Dear Parents/Carers,

This is just a quick update to inform you that we have had a rise in positive Covid cases in recent days. Please be extra vigilant with your children and test them if they develop any symptoms. Although lateral flow tests are more difficult to get hold of, I understand that a PCR test can be booked if your child has any of the three main symptoms. This rise in cases has also affected staff and so has left us struggling for cover at times - please bear with us on this and apologies for any inconvenience. It would be a last resort to have to close any classes or year groups but it may be necessary to ensure the safety of school.

Please remember if your child is absent with Covid and is fairly well, then they need to be completing the online learning available on Class dojo or Tapestry and return to your class teacher

I also wish to inform you that we have had a case of Scarlet Fever - symptoms to look out for are flushed face, enlarged neck glands, high fever, difficulty swallowing, sore red throat, headache, nausea and vomiting and a rash. We have also had cases of chicken pox - main symptom to watch out for are blister-like spots.

Over this week, a board for each class will be outside as you drop your child off in the mornings (For Nursery children please sign up the end of the session when you pick your child up). Please sign up for a parents evening slot as they are happening over the course of next week. We will be having face to face meetings but making sure that we keep distancing and in well ventilated spaces. However if you currently have any symptoms of Covid please let your child's teacher know and we can schedule another appointment.

Reminder: school closes at the end of the day on Friday 8th April 2022 for the Easter break and we return on Monday 25th April 2022.

Regards

J.Allin
